Xbox kicked off this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) with the Xbox E3 2017 Briefing – and, for the first time, it was broadcast in 4K ultra-HD.
Satellite feeds with footage from the unveiling of the world’s most powerful console, Xbox One X (formerly code-named “Project Scorpio”) – the first true 4K console for gamers – as well as the latest news, announcements, sound bites and gameplay footage from Xbox. This was Xbox’s largest and most diverse lineup of games in E3 history, with a record 42 games showcased in the briefing.
The June 11 briefing was broadcast live in 4K to the official Xbox Mixer Channel and live-streamed to Xbox’s Twitch Channel, YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook Live. Additional broadcast-quality sound bites and other media are available on Xbox’s online newsroom.
Each year Xbox holds a media briefing before the opening of E3 to reveal all of the new games and technology that they will roll out for the holiday season. For three intense days, our video production team was onsite again to cover the briefing, crash edit a b-roll package for broadcast, and edit a second package for Xbox’s press site. Our media relations team managed the domestic and international media distribution.
