The U.S. Department of State’s State On Demand website – Winner of Best Online Newsroom of the Year, 2012 Bulldog Digital/Social PR Award

The U.S. Department of State’s State On Demand website won Best Online Newsroom of the Year in the 2012 Bulldog Digital/Social PR Award for Outstanding Achievement by Agencies and Individuals in PR and Corporate Communications.

The U.S. Department of State needed a robust media hub with an open environment to engage with media, policymakers and other influencers. We leveraged our multimedia white label content platform MediaCentre, which serves global corporations, not-for-profits and government agencies by providing them with rich video capabilities such as content management, access entitlement, and fulfillment and reporting – without having to invest in costly R&D or infrastructure. The new platform, called “State on Demand,” launched in early 2012 as the one-stop-shop for media and the U.S. Department of State’s Public Affairs Officers around the world.

The platform demonstrated its ability to disseminate content dynamically soon after it debuted when the U.S. government released breaking news satellite imagery of Syrian Military Artillery movements that generated thousands of downloads and efficiently enabled the government to distribute breaking news content. Now in its second year, The State Department continues to leverage the platform’s multimedia, social integration and global distribution capabilities to spread its media assets to a very broad network, including major media and Facebook.

Gold for Maersk’s Online Newsroom

We were up for an award for ‘best online corporate newsroom’ for the development of Maersk’s  online newsroom at Communicate Magazine’s Corporate and Financial Awards, which took place on May 15th in London. Against some heavy competition, we’re really happy and excited that it was us who won gold! We are proud for the recognition from our peers and hope we have many more awards to come…
