When Automobile Magazine’s recent article “The Top Ten Cheapest Cars with Active Safety Technologies” mentioned FOUR GM cars (the 2014 Buick Verano, the 2014 Buick Encore, the 2014 Chevrolet Malibu, and the 2014 Chevrolet Impala 1LT) the GM team knew right away this was a “must do” Satellite Media Tour. They put together a fabulous tour that not only the client loved, but also the media.
On Wednesday, March 5, during 25 interviews, Joe DeMatio, Deputy Editor of Automobile Magazine along with James Bell, Head of Consumer Affairs for GM, helped viewers learn about some of the latest and greatest active safety technologies including blind spot monitors (BSM), lane departure warning systems (LDW), forward collision warning (FCW) and backup cameras.
The SMT took place at the GM studio in Warren, Michigan and three of the four GM cars mentioned in the article were on the set. B-roll was also incorporated to help demonstrate the various safety features.
Live Events rockstar Sean Cassels was on hand to produce the tour; Executive Producer Chris Hansen skillfully directed the talent and smoothed out messaging and Julia Heath, as always, ensured our clients at GM were thrilled with the entire process.
