The Aveo’s First Mongol Rally Team set off to a 14,000 km Adventure Trip to Mongolia

On a rainy Saturday, a team of three friends began their journey from Goodwood Motor Circuit in the UK to the rocky roads of Mongolia. They met for the first time 3 years ago on a rugby field in Geneva and will be taking part in this year’s Mongol Rally, a fourteen thousand kilometres drive which is known to be one of the “greatest adventures in the world”. To reach their final destination Ulaanbaator in Mongolia, the three friends will have to drive across three deserts, five mountain ranges and seven time zones.

The drivers who have been sponsored by Chevrolet Europe with a 1.2L Aveo , will be raising funds for various charities and on their way to Central Asia, the team will visit kids in three SOS Children’s Villages: in Vienna, Austria, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, and in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.  The rally which is organised by a group called The Adventurists has already raised 4.5 million Euros for charity.

Synaptic Digital was at the Goodwood Motor Circuit to film the first day of the 5-week journey. We will be following the Aveo team’s progress closely during the race and we will also make sure to keep you updated on the team’s adventures.
