As President and Managing Director of Chevrolet Europe, Wayne Brannon rarely gets to sit in one place for very long! However, Brannon got to rest his legs for two hours when our Media Relations team worked with Wayne on a Satellite Media Tour, securing interviews across Europe that were broadcast in 5 different languages.
In an extremely crowded news agenda, on a day when all eyes were on the G20 in Cannes following the Greek economic crisis, Jose and Kristin, members of our Media Relations team, did an incredible job placing our celebration of 100 years of Chevrolet on Tier One news outlets.
I’d also like to pay tribute to Wayne for his stamina and ability to field some very difficult economic questions without losing the 100 year message. Taking questions from some of Europe’s most recognised economic commentators from the likes of France 24 and Reuters might have given his feet a rest but they certainly tested him cerebrally!

Since Brendan’s blog went to press, the Chevrolet content Chevrolet Celebrates 100 Years of Iconic Cars was ordered by over 100 media outlets including the BBC, France 24, RBC-TV, Reuters, Spiegel, Telecinco, Fox News and AOL Latino from our distribution platform, thenewsmarket.com. Another really good result was APTN’s usage of the content we provided them to create a feature story for their Horizons bulletin which is syndicated to major news outlets around the world.
We have now also received the coverage achieved by the two France 24 interviews we placed, which alone generated over 20 minutes air time for Chevrolet and included some fantastic visual branding.
