Bright Ideas: Goodbye 100 Watt Lightbulb

As of January 2012, It’s lights out for the standard 100 Watt light bulb. The US Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 mandated manufacturers stop producing these bulbs – which waste 90 percent of the electricity they consume.



We worked with Sylvania to shed light on the message and educate consumers about the new, more energy efficient and cost effective lighting choices like halogen, compact fluorescent or LED bulbs. Working with Stephanie Anderson, a lighting expert with Sylvania – we helped spread the message across TV, web and radio via a Satellite Media Tour, Interactive News Release, Audio News Release and Narrative Marketing segment.
