NEW YORK, NY – January 12, 2011 – Synaptic Digital, the world’s premier multi-channel digital media creation and distribution platform, today announced the appointment of Sky Hanstein as Director, Media Relations. Hanstein will be responsible for expanding Synaptic Digital’s global reach to journalists and other communicators through thenewsmarket.com, the world’s largest content portal, which boasts more than 30,000 active media outlets.
“Sky really gets media – from the ins and outs of television and radio to creating and executing original digital and cross media projects,” said Daniel Webster, Senior Vice President, Product Strategy and Media, Synaptic Digital. ”His exceptional knowledge of the media and production landscape maximizes results for some of the best known brands in the world.”
Prior to joining Synaptic Digital, Hanstein served as Media Director for Vidicom, where he oversaw the development, creation and placement of story content for clients within the Medical, Entertainment, Technology, Lifestyle & Fashion industries. Earlier experiences include his role as the Senior Producer / Director for DS Simon Productions where he managed production for live events and client relations as well as several years working in production at Sony Pictures Television.
Sky’s focus will be closing the loop between brands and those who would report on them via Synaptic Digital’s content portal. He contends that higher quality, more easily accessible content translates to more placements.
“Providing journalists with top quality, highly accessible content is critical to earn coverage for our brand and agency customers,” said Hanstein. “On thenewsmarket.com, journalists and bloggers can download professional, broadcast-quality B-Roll and sound bites in seconds to build and develop visually compelling stories.”
